April

Welcome to our special April edition, where we celebrate the spirit of giving, growth, and renewal that defines this vibrant month. April showers us with reasons to step outside, roll up our sleeves, and dive into the soil of new beginnings. It's a time when gardeners can plant seeds not just for summer veggies but for a future where nature and nurture go hand in hand. This April is particularly special as it marks National Volunteer Month and National Garden Month, a harmonious pairing that invites us all to cultivate our gardens and communities with equal passion and dedication.

But April holds even more significance for us. It’s a Month of Hope, a fitting prelude to an exciting milestone in our journey. Next month, we celebrate our 15th anniversary, a testament to the growth and resilience we've nurtured within our community and the gardens we've tended with love and care. Over the years, we've seen firsthand how gardens can be powerful symbols of hope and regeneration, providing solace and joy in times both good and challenging.

As we embrace the promise of April, let's also look forward to celebrating 15 years of growth, community, and green thumbs. We invite you to join us in this dual celebration of volunteering and gardening, to spread hope and sow the seeds for another fruitful 15 years. Together, let's make this April a month to remember, filled with the spirit of volunteerism, the joy of gardening, and the hope that springs eternal.

Let’s Celebrate!

May 18 is our 15th anniversary. We’ll be sharing stories that have inspired us over the years. We’d love to hear yours!

Did You Know?

Food pantry listings can be sponsored on AmpleHarvest.org. Your gift creates a sustainable and recurring opportunity for millions of gardeners to share their harvest with neighborhood food pantries. Our sponsorship program allows you to highlight your message or organization on a single food pantry listing, multiple food pantry listings, or on all food pantries within a state (corporate option).

Food banks are continuing to see large numbers of people needing food assistance. If you've planted a garden, think about growing more to feed more. If you can't grow a garden, share AmpleHarvest.org on social media, volunteer, or donate. Every act of kindness counts.
