From Garden to Table: Share the Summer Harvest and Foster Community Connection

July is a party for your taste buds! It's National Peach, Picnic, Blueberry, and Grilling Month all rolled into one delicious celebration. Fresh peaches, juicy blueberries, and garden veggies are summer's VIPs, making any picnic or BBQ extra special. Got more produce than you can handle? Share the love and donate your extra goodies to a local food pantry. Don’t have a garden? Consider making a monetary donation. These contributions help ensure everyone in the community can enjoy a taste of summer’s best. Let's spread joy and keep the community spirit alive—everyone deserves a bite of summer's bounty!

Picnic Month

July is National Picnic Month, a time to embrace the great outdoors, enjoy delicious food, and create cherished memories with family and friends. At AmpleHarvest.org, we believe that picnics are more than just a meal—they're a celebration of community, sustainability, and the bounty of nature. This month, we're excited to share how you can make your picnics more meaningful by joining our mission to reduce food waste and combat hunger. Read more

Your Donations at Work this July

  • Increased the number of registered food pantries in our network by 10. This expansion allows more gardeners to connect with local food pantries, facilitating the donation of surplus produce and helping to nourish more communities nationwide.
  • Reduction in Food Waste: With more gardeners participating in the donation program, there has been a significant reduction in food waste. By diverting surplus produce from landfills to those in need, AmpleHarvest.org has contributed to a more sustainable food system.

Food banks are continuing to see large numbers of people needing food assistance. If you've planted a garden, think about growing more to feed more. If you can't grow a garden, share AmpleHarvest.org on social media, volunteer, or donate. Every act of kindness counts.
