Summertime bounty

School is out and the summer is here. This summer, join the celebration of AmpleHarvest.org’s 15th birthday by sharing the bounty from your garden. For fifteen years, AmpleHarvest.org has been connecting gardeners with food pantries, ensuring that fresh, nutritious produce reaches those in need. Check out what Vint Cerf (“The Father of the Internet”) had to say about it! As we commemorate this milestone, you can make an even greater impact by asking a friend to join the cause. Not only will your generous contributions help fight hunger, but they will also promote healthier diets and stronger communities. Celebrate with us and make a difference—your garden’s surplus can bring smiles and sustenance to many!

Calling All Gardeners!

This summer, we're shining a spotlight on the generous gardeners who are making a difference by donating their surplus vegetables to local food pantries. If you want to inspire others to join in this rewarding effort, we invite you to sign up for our filming project. Let’s demonstrate together how easy and impactful it is to share the bounty of your garden with those in need. To participate, simply send an email to jamie@ampleharvest.org providing your name, contact information, zip code, and a brief description of your garden. If selected, a professional filmmaker will work with you!

Fresh Food For All

We love this post from Venture Compassionate Ministries, Inc. They wrote, “We are excited to once again renew our partnership with AmpleHarvest.org - as we seek to connect growers and gardeners with the surplus produce and provide it for families through our Food Pantry program.

Through donations of fresh produce from local gardeners in the Western New York region, families are introduced to new varieties of food they may have had no prior access to and they can feed their family fresh instead of processed food, thereby reducing the likelihood of diet-related illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.”

Love to see communities working together!

Food banks are continuing to see large numbers of people needing food assistance. If you've planted a garden, think about growing more to feed more. If you can't grow a garden, share AmpleHarvest.org on social media, volunteer, or donate. Every act of kindness counts.
