Celebrate!

On our 15th anniversary, AmpleHarvest.org stands as a beacon of hope and sustainability. From humble beginnings to a nationwide movement, you've shown us what's possible when communities come together to share their abundance. This anniversary, let's rally to support our vision for a future where no one is hungry and every gardener is a local hero. Donate, spread the word, and let's grow this movement together! Read more about Gary Oppenheimer’s journey of gratitude.

Gardener Highlight

Charlie and Terry are dedicated gardeners from Charlotte Garden in Grand Ledge, MI. Last summer, they began donating fresh produce like squash and cucumbers to the pantry at Community Baptist Church.

Their response when asked about reimbursement? "It is our joy to help the needy by donating the vegetables." We're inspired by their generosity and thrilled that they continue this tradition.

As we move into the new season, they are excited to share even more fresh vegetables with the community. Thanks to all the gardeners who contribute throughout the growing season!

Calling New York Area Gardeners

Calling all green thumbs! This summer, we're shining a spotlight on the generous gardeners who are making a difference by donating their surplus vegetables to local food pantries. If you're proud of your garden and want to inspire others to join in this rewarding effort, we invite you to sign up for our filming project. Let’s demonstrate together how easy and impactful it is to share the bounty of your garden with those in need. To participate, simply respond to this email by May 30 providing your name, contact information, zip code, and a brief description of your garden. If selected, a professional filmmaker will work with you.

Food banks are continuing to see large numbers of people needing food assistance. If you've planted a garden, think about growing more to feed more. If you can't grow a garden, share AmpleHarvest.org on social media, volunteer, or donate. Every act of kindness counts.
